IX9950:
110VAC Multi-stage, Dimmable, AC Powered LED Driver(top)

IX9950NE Image
  • 110VAC line powered
  • Low additional parts count - 1 resistor, 1 capacitor, and 1 diode bridge
  • No high voltage capacitors or inductors required
  • 5-bit linear digital dimming control
  • 0-10V linear analog dimming control
  • Low current distortion
  • 0.999 Power Factor
  • Excellent current matching (+/- 2.5%)
  • Low turn-on voltage
  • Current automatically reduced to prevent over temperature failure

IX9950 is a multi-stage LED driver that can be used to implement an efficient cost effective LED lighting system without the need for a transformer or inductor. Compared to previous direct AC drive systems, the IX9950 requires fewer external components and has less current distortion resulting in a more linear AC current and a higher power factor than previous stepped current implementations. (US Patents 9,544,961 : 9,924,573 : 9,992,833)

The IX9950 is designed to operate from a 110VAC power source with only a diode bridge, a resistor, and a small low voltage capacitor. Designed to operate with a junction temperature of -40°C to +125°C, the integrated thermal management feature protects the die from thermal damage by reducing the LED current.

The IX9950 is available in an SOIC(N)-16_EP thermally enhanced 16-pin narrow SOIC package with a bottom side exposed pad.

CPC9909:
High Efficiency, Off-Line, High Brightness LED Driver (top)

CPC9909 Picture
  • 8V to 550V Input Voltage Range
  • >90% Efficiency
  • Stable Operation at >50% Duty Cycle
  • Drives Multiple LEDs in Series/Parallel Configurations
  • Regulated LED Current
  • Linear or PWM Brightness Control Inputs
  • Resistor-Programmable Minimum Off-Time
  • Buck or Boost Configuration

CPC9909 is a low cost, high-efficiency, offline, high-brightness (HB) LED driver manufactured using our high voltage BCDMOS on SOI process. This driver has an internal regulator that allows it to operate from 8VDC to 550VDC . This wide input operating voltage range enables the driver to be used in a broad range of HB LED applications.

CPC9909 features pulse frequency modulation (PFM) with a constant peak-current control scheme. This regulation scheme is inherently stable, allowing the driver to be operated above 50% duty cycle without open loop instability or sub-harmonic oscillations. LED dimming can be implemented by applying a small DC voltage to the LD pin, or by applying a low frequency PWM signal to the PWMD pin.

MXHV9910 Picture
  • 8V to 450V Input Voltage Range
  • >90% Efficiency
  • Drives Multiple LEDs in Series/Parallel Combinations
  • Regulated LED Drive Current
  • Linear or PWM Brightness Control
  • Resistor-Programmable Oscillator Frequency
  • SOIC-8 and SOIC-8 EP (Exposed Thermal Pad) Packages

MXHV9910 is a low-cost, high-brightness (HB) LED driver manufactured using our high-voltage BCDMOS on SOI process. The driver has internal circuitry that allows it to operate from a universal AC line or from 8Vdc to 450Vdc. This highly versatile input operating voltage enables this device to be used in a broad range of HB LED applications.

MXHV9910 features a fixed-frequency, peak-current control method, which provides an ideal solution for driving multiple LEDs in series and in parallel. In addition, LED dimming can be implemented by applying a small DC voltage to the LD pin, or by a low-frequency digital PWM signal to the PWMD pin.
